Usher’s Countdown to Super Bowl Halftime: 2024 Preview

Grammy-Winning Artist Reveals Secrets and Surprises for Upcoming Performance

Usher recently sat down with Good Morning America entertainment contributor Kelley L. Carter to discuss his highly anticipated 2024 Super Bowl halftime performance. The eight-time Grammy winner expressed his excitement about achieving a dream and ticking off a bucket list item. Reflecting on his illustrious career, Usher jokingly suggested adding the Super Bowl to the list of prestigious awards like Oscar, Tony, Grammy, and Emmy.

Despite decades of experience, nine number-one singles, and over 65 million albums sold worldwide, the 45-year-old artist faces the challenge of condensing his achievements into a 13-minute show. Usher aims to reach back to his first album but acknowledges the time constraints. He emphasizes the importance of gaining approval from both his older and younger fans, with his teenage sons actively participating in planning conference calls and providing valuable notes.

When questioned about the nature of the show, Usher remained tight-lipped, only promising that it would be a “great show.” The Super Bowl LVIII is set to take place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, broadcasting on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Don’t miss this musical extravaganza as Usher prepares to deliver an unforgettable halftime experience.
