“Number One on the Call Sheet” – Black Hollywood Leaders

AO Network celebrates the upcoming release of Number One on the Call Sheet, a two-part documentary that spotlights Black excellence in Hollywood, premiering March 28, 2025, on Apple TV+. Executive produced by Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart, the series dives into the highs, lows, and game-changing moments of Black leading actors and actresses who paved the way in the industry.

The first film, directed by Reginald Hudlin, focuses on the men—Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart, and Michael B. Jordan—who built legendary careers despite industry bias. The second film, directed by Shola Lynch, highlights the journeys of Halle Berry, Viola Davis, and Gabrielle Union, emphasizing the unique challenges faced by Black women at the top of the call sheet.

For AO Network, a platform that centers Black and Brown storytelling, this documentary is more than just a film—it’s a reflection of our mission. Hollywood has long undervalued Black creatives, but AO Network exists to shift that narrative, just like the legends in this series have done.
