Check out the new trailer for Longlegs, starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, opening exclusively in theaters on July 12. In pursuit of a serial killer, an FBI agent uncovers a series of occult clues she must solve to end his terrifying killing spree.

The indie studio behind recent hits like Ava DuVernay’s Origin and the Oscar-nominated Anatomy of a Fall is distributing this upcoming horror thriller. Earlier this year, the studio dropped a chilling teaser on its X account, hinting at the movie with the caption, “Every year there is another.” The teaser features an unsettling family photo with a garbled 911 call in the background, adding to the eerie atmosphere.

In the teaser, though the audio is difficult to make out, the caller says something about “my daughter” and “that’s not my daughter.” This is followed by a still image of a crime scene and some cryptic symbols. Fans of the genre are already buzzing with anticipation.
