J. Cole Drops Surprise Project “Might Delete Later”

 J. Cole Surprises Fans with New Music

J. Cole, the Dreamville boss, pleasantly surprised fans by dropping his latest project, “Might Delete Later,” on Friday (April 5) with no prior announcement. The album comprises 12 tracks and boasts collaborations with a diverse array of artists, including Gucci Mane, Cam’ron, Bas, Central Cee, Ari Lennox, and Young Dro, among others.

Several tracks on “Might Delete Later” were teased by Cole himself during his Vlogs, where he shared snippets of his experiences on Drake’s Big As the What? Tour earlier this year. Notably, one track features J.C. and Killa Cam rapping over Dipset’s “I’m Ready.”

While “Might Delete Later” serves as a tantalizing appetizer for fans, Cole reassures everyone that his much-anticipated album, “The Fall-Off,” is still slated for release later this year. This project arrives on the heels of Kendrick Lamar’s recent impact on the rap scene with his guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “We Don’t Trust You” album standout and No. 1 hit “Like That.”

Cole’s previous album, “The Off-Season,” debuted in 2021 and soared to the top of the Billboard 200, marking his sixth No. 1 album. With 282,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, it solidified Cole’s position as a dominant force in hip-hop.
