Renowned for his Bass & Bars series, Brady Watt unveils his latest musical gem, “Without You,” accompanied by a captivating official video. The self-produced single follows Watt’s recent stint as the opening act for Gary Clark Jr., adding another layer to his musical narrative.
Having been an integral part of Talib Kweli’s band since his teenage years, Watt’s artistic journey comes full circle with “Without You.” The track also builds on his collaborations with Griselda’s Benny The Butcher and Westside Gunn, showcasing the depth of his musical connections.
Watt shares the inspiration behind the song’s poignant hook, emphasizing the importance of success being meaningful only when shared with loved ones. The collaboration with Conway The Machine, a key figure in the Griselda movement, further solidifies Watt’s ties to the hip-hop community.
“I had the hook and track really rockin, then enlisted my friends and colleagues Conway The Machine (of Griselda, one of my favorite rappers alive) and the legend Talib Kweli,” explains Watt. Kweli, described as an older brother figure, contributes significantly to the track, highlighting the enduring bond between the two.
Watt’s passion for hip-hop is evident in his approach, emphasizing the creation of timeless songs in collaboration with some of the genre’s best. “Without You” stands as a testament to Watt’s ability to craft meaningful and enduring music, resonating with fans and fellow artists alike.
