Behind the Scenes of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Music Video

An exclusive look at the star-studded video shoot in Compton

Kendrick Lamar, fresh off his Juneteenth “Pop Out — Ken & Friends” concert at the Kia Forum, filmed his latest music video “Not Like Us” in Compton, drawing over 1,000 fans. The shoot took place at iconic locations like Compton City Hall, Enterprise Park, Nickerson Gardens, and Tam’s Burgers. Fans and celebrities alike, including DJ Mustard, Steve Lacy, Thundercat, Roddy Ricch, and NBA star DeMar DeRozan, were spotted joining Lamar in the celebrations.

In clips shared on social media, Lamar and DJ Mustard are seen dancing to the catchy beat of “Not Like Us” with enthusiastic fans in front of Tam’s Burgers. The Compton Cowboys captioned an Instagram photo with “COMPTON. PERIOD,” highlighting the community’s pride. The shoot followed Lamar’s concert, which featured appearances by Dr. Dre, Russell Westbrook, and radio host Big Boy, further celebrating West Coast hip-hop.

The feud between Lamar and Drake added an intriguing backdrop to the video shoot. Since March, the two hip-hop giants have traded diss tracks, with Lamar’s “Not Like Us” targeting Drake. The song, released in May, became an instant hit and seemed to momentarily settle their rivalry. Lamar’s fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the music video, expected to showcase the vibrant energy of Compton.

As anticipation builds for the “Not Like Us” video release, Lamar continues to captivate his audience with his dynamic presence and powerful music. Stay tuned for more updates on Kendrick Lamar and his latest projects.
