Tyler Perry Teams Up with Taraji P. Henson for Netflix Drama Tyler Perry returns with his most gripping film yet — Straw, premiering June 6, 2025, on Netflix. The powerful thriller stars Taraji P. Henson as Janiyah, a single mother pushed to the brink when her daughter becomes gravely ill and the healthcare system fails her. With nowhere else to turn, Janiyah storms a bank, taking hostages in a desperate attempt to save her child.
