This accomplishment adds to Ye’s impressive record, securing his 11th chart-topping album while marking Ty’s inaugural leadership position. The album amassed 148,000 equivalent album units in its debut week, according to Luminate data, following its release on February 10. In a noteworthy feat, Usher also clinches success with his latest studio release, ‘Coming Home,’ landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking his highest charting album in over a decade with 91,000 units earned. The Billboard 200 chart rankings are determined by multi-metric consumption, including album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). ‘Vultures 1’ witnessed a significant portion of its success from streaming, with SEA units comprising 129,000, equivalent to 167.78 million on-demand official streams of the album’s tracks. Despite its triumph, ‘Vultures 1’ faced hurdles in its initial release, including controversies surrounding certain tracks and distribution issues. Nevertheless, the album’s success underscores a significant moment in music history, as it marks Ye and Ty’s first independent studio album outside the major label system.
